| Dell's I/T All Hands Meeting at The Fiesta
Ranch in Austin, Texas Is A Great Success |
With approximately 1,000 people attending, Laura Silva Quesada and MindBiz.com
together with Fiesta Ranch administrators co-hosted Dell's I/T Quarterly All
Hands Meeting.
The outdoor, activity-packed meeting took place within Fiesta Ranch's 88 fun
filled acres whose facilities have been used by many large corporations for
team building, employee bonding and plain old Texas fun.
The main focus of Dell's All Hands Meeting was teamwork, cooperation,
communication, and creativity. There were about 50 teams, each with 20 members,
performing exercises such as the "A-Frame" and "The Sounds of Samba". The group
exercises were specifically planned to demonstrate how everyone in the
organization plays a valuable part in helping DELL reach its goals.
The "A-Frame" consisted of a 10 foot frame in the shape of the letter "A" with
18 cords coming out from the top of the frame. One member stood on the cross
bar of the "A-Frame and the other members of the team kept the frame in an
upright position as the person on the crossbar attempted to reach the finish
line.
Team members holding the ropes have to "pull their weight" and let go in a
cooperative manner so as to reach the goal. At the end of the activity,
everyone realized that they couldn't have reached their goal without each
other. The "Sounds of Samba" involved four different percussion instruments and
each followed a specific rhythm under the direction of a popular local musician
by the name of Dario. At the end of the activity, all teams came together with
the band to play in a well-orchestrated masterpiece. All members came to the
realization that no matter what role they play, they are each a valuable part
of a greater success and goal. Together they learned they could "Jam!"

After a little rest, Hot Dogs and Hamburgers, Dell employees were able to play
softball, go fishing, swim in natural springs swimming pools, play putt-putt,
toss horseshoes, play basketball or simply lay out in full view of the hot
Texas sun and tan. MindBiz.com is happy to announce that we are providing a
free MicroCourse to employees of Dell Computer as a way of thanking Dell for
letting us help with their Quarterly I/T Meeting and introducing our products
and e-Learning strategy. The themes of teamwork, cooperation, communication,
and creativity emphasized at the Dell I/T All Hands meeting are near and dear
to the hearts of us at MindBiz.com. Those principles are what we teach, how we
work, and what we facilitate for our clients and partners.

We do not stop playing because
we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.

Feedback
A Vital Ingredient for Successful Programming
Feedback is information that is in response to your programming, and can help
guide your next move. It shows up a few days after your initial programming. It
is neither negative, nor positive. It has no polarity. If soon after your
programming you begin to feel great internally and externally, your behaviors
begin to change for the better and you begin to reach your goals, then that is
feedback that is telling you that you are on the right track. If nothing
happens, then that is feedback that is telling you that you need to make some
adjustments in your programming. You may need to assess your desire, belief,
expectancy, or mental images. It may help to answer the following questions:
-
Did I visualize the problem accurately? Does it depict my present situation as
it really is?
-
Is what I imagined as the outcome or goal the best thing for me?
-
Do I truly believe the goal is something I can manifest?
-
Am I limiting the direction from where I am getting my end result?
-
Are my internal and external actions, behaviors, beliefs and thoughts
supporting the goal?
You cannot be sensitive to feedback if you are in denial. There may be times
when you want something so desperately that even when the feedback is screaming
out at you, you choose to ignore it.
Being sensitive to Feedback will help you turn your dreams into reality or
something much BETTER! Very little progress can occur if you don't pay
attention to feedback. Always be sensitive to your feedback and make on-going
adjustments as needed. By doing this, you will create the life of your own
design.

INTRODUCING!

Rick DeLellis
Rick DeLellis has been involved with music for over 30 years. Rick started out
learning to play music by ear and later underwent formal studies of music
theory and piano at the University of Texas at Austin. The enormous music scene
in the Austin area led Rick to playing live in and around the Austin and
central Texas area for numerous bands like "Spirit Tree," "The Eddies" and "The
Distractions."
With music being a great part of Rick's life, he decided to take his interest
in music still further into the magical process of recording and manipulating
sound. For the last 10 years Rick has been staying very busy by owning and
running Figment Studios in Austin, TX, a commercial studio that offers an array
of services for anyone interested in recording. Rick still enjoys playing the
guitar, bass, and keyboards for many diverse recording projects. In addition,
he has released his self-title record - Riccy D "Irregular Form" - written
music for film, and is soon to release a series of meditation music CDs that
will be made available through MindBiz.com.
Rick continues to teach audio engineering classes, and is in constant pursuit
to broaden his knowledge of audio production, music and in the use of new
technology in the musical environment. He and his wife and partner Melissa both
work and reside in Austin, TX.
