Open the Windows of your Mind
by: John Newman
Greetings! I'm John Newman in London and I'm very much looking forward to the
exciting start of my
Max Your Life MicroCourse on Mindbiz.com. I hope you'll join me, but
before you do I have an important question for you, and please, for your own
sake give an honest answer; 'How do you see yourself and your success? Perhaps
you see yourself as average or even as a failure? What picture do you have of
yourself as an achiever?'
Do you understand that you have created the person you have become and created
the quality of life you have? You really are the sum total of the decisions you
have made in life? Often those decisions became mirrors of self-reflection and
many times closed the windows of your mind to new and exciting possibilities.
Take a good long look at what you have created. You, not events or other people
are responsible for your present level of success in life.
It is as though many mirrors surround your thinking. A person surrounded by
mirrors sees nothing but himself reflected, but if we imagine the mirrors
becoming windows we can see through the windows and instead of seeing ourselves
as prisoners of our own reflections, we start to open up seeing new horizons.
We enter a world offering us freedom, achievement and fulfilment.
The most successful achievers I have met have all had identifiable qualities
that sustained them through the ups and downs of their lives. As a TV producer
I learnt much about the qualities of truly successful people by working closely
with top stars of television and Hollywood, people like the fabulous Bing
Crosby and the great Bob Hope, the Beatles and Stones and so many more. I also
worked with some of the most important and influential politicians and writers
of the past few years and now as the trainer of Oxford System Consultants I can
apply this knowledge to make a positive difference in the world.
So what is it that makes some achieve their goals while other folks seem to
struggle through life and remained just average? One of the primary attributes
is the attitude a person has during bad times as well as good. One or two of
you reading this will say 'I know that, I've read the books, listened to the
audios and done the seminars'. OK, so you know it, and yet maybe things are not
the way you want them be.
Perhaps you're not acting upon your knowledge of attitude. It is one thing to
know something. It is another to act upon it.
Right now, reflect on ways to truly make a positive difference in your own
life. One idea might be to join me here on the brand new Mindbiz MicroCourse
called 'Max Your
Life.'
As the author of the book 'How to be in the Right Place at the Right Time' and
'Max Your Life'
my purpose has always been to move people forward to be able to see through the
windows of their mind to discover, recognise and release their own exciting
potential. To have a life free of fear and doubts. To be able to overcome the
obstacles between themselves and the achievement of their goals.
People become very excited when the mirrors of self-deception are thrown away
and the windows of their mind are opened. Attitudes really do get better.
I wonder how many children heard their parents say "I want you to get a good
education. Make something of yourself." That instruction; to make something of
yourself carries with it a clear understanding that it is we, as individuals,
who create our own lives.
It is natural to play it safe; "I am not going to stick my neck out" or "I am
not going to rock the boat' to say nothing of the popular "take it easy." But
this sort of thinking holds people back.
During years of training people of all types and all backgrounds, it has been
my observation that a large percentage of human beings have suffered greater
deprivation because of 'their fears" and consequently they missed out on the
abundance life has to offer.
At a recent presentation, I suggested the audience repeat often, aloud or
silently, 'I can, I will, YES! Try it yourself. Repeat it over and over. It
will certainly open the windows of your mind to new possibilities to Max your
Life. I invite you to join me today on my new life changing MicroCourse 'Max
Your Life' here on the Mindbiz.com site.
I look forward to meeting you...
